A Washington Post Metro Section piece in the 80's about Amtrak's newly minted police force, which was created to disabuse layabouts, homeless and non-travellers of taking advantage of the chairs and benches in train stations. Apparently the "lounge police" got out of hand and were known to boot out ticketholders as well.
